I began to build this city on 31 January and I ended it today, 4 June... Looks like the quarantine applied to Pharaoh... I played other games when I had some free time but eventually one can never stay away from Pharaoh!
I spent some days to finalise it but I made it through! The file shows the city some moments before the victory. It can hold 2 years without any problem, then demography takes its toll...
I have always envisioned Thinis as an immense city, stretching all the way along the Nile...
I downsized my ambitions as I did that but only on the western bank of the river.
I hate to do that but like in Dunqul, I used my savings to help the town during its direst times, financially speaking. I wanted to use all the farmlands and I (almost) did... So even if there were around 8,000 inhabitants, which is a lot, I could have provided food for 15,000 people. I put 2 docks, I don't know if it helped but in the end, Thinis gained around 8,000 debens a year with much trade and 5 gold mines. By the way, the district with gold mines was the first one I built, in order to be sure to have some cash coming in every month.
I exported lots of potteries and much beer, I imported copper for the army, some wood for the navy and papyrus for the scribal school, located on the island. The island was the jewel of the city, with 800 inhabitants, a tenth of the total, all of them housed in the 10 common residencies! I wanted to have a kingdom rating of 100 then I realised my savings were of 7,000 debens exactly so I wanted to keep that round amount for Kebet, so I haven't offered any gift to the city and the kingdom rating remained at 99. Now, let's go to Kebet to end this civil war once and for all!
