Wednesday, April 21st. So what did they eat in Egypt?
That's the question on everybody's lips in the forum today.  Cherub Et Flavius from Caesar III Heaven started the discussion off, and it has ballooned since then.  Here's an excerpt of what Innovandora had to say in one of the replies:
Yes, the Egyptians had BOTH beer and wine. The vineyards were located around some of the Oases in the SW. They don't seem to have really been so much into vintages and upper class housing will NOT need more than one type of wine. Having upper class temples nearby is more important, as are yachts, water lilly ponds, dancers and musicians for parties should come first.

Beermaking was monopolized by women and largely done by wives at home for their own household consumption, with a little excess sold on the side for petty cash. They were the original home brewers. They never really had breweries as in the European tradition, but I believe people will forgive this a-historical lapse.

Tuesday, April 20th. JT's got a brand new llama...erm...contest;)
JT's doing some spring cleaning!

It seems as if some of the people who have won contest prizes over at GameStats recently just could bring themselves to accept their prizes, so JT's had loads of unclaimed stuff just lying around.  Well, he's decided to get rid of it all, and you are the beneficiaries.  Check out what he has to offer here.

Back in Pharaoh Heaven, Jayhawk's been ultra-busy again finding out about the latest theories on ancient Egypt.  This time he's found an interesting theory as to how the pyramids might have been built.   Check it out and post your thoughts here.

Monday, April 19th. New poll at GS Main
Remember the news a week or so ago that the parents of the kids shot dead at a school in Kentucky were suing the entertainment industry for $130 million?  Remember how that provoked a strong reaction from Justice T at Gamestats?   Well, now you have your chance to vioce your opinions on the matter, thanks to the latest poll on GS Main.  Check it out and tell the GS guys what you think!

Is there something that you are simply dying to ask the guys at Impressions?  Well, you might just get your chance in mid-May at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).   Impressions will be there, and so will 4 HGS Angels.  So, if there's something that you want to ask, then please let us know here.

Weekend, April 17th\18th. Why's nothing happening?
In the past couple of days, there have been some posts in the forum complaining that there has been little new stuff coming out recently.   Well, you are all quite correct, Gray Wolf and others who have pointed this out.  However, I think I need to remind you that we are but a fan site, and not the creators of the game.  Impressions and Sierrs are creating the game, and it is therefore up to them to release the screenshots and details.  I assure you, we are badgering them as often as we feel proper for more details on what looks to be one on the great games of 1999 and 2000.  However, I repeat that we are at their mercy as to what we can post here - if there's nothing being released, then we clearly can't report it.  I'm doing my very best to update this page daily where possible, but it can be very tough.  I'm doing my best, as are the guys at Pharaoh.  Anyway, I sincerely hope that some new stuff will be released about the game by Impressions at E3 in mid-May, so stay tuned for that - we are already on the scent!

On a different and perhaps slightly more upbeat note, the promised new look for Pharaoh Heaven is getting very close.  Yes, I know I've said that before, but this time it really is true.  Just a couple of things to iron out and we are go!!!

Friday, April 16th. Jayhawk's done it again!
How can we stop this guy;)?  Just kidding, Jayhawk - he's doing some great work in the forum helping us all get up to speed on Egyptian history.  His latest work of art is a terribly useful links list which you would do well to check out.

But that's not all that's going on in the forums at the moment.  There's a thread wondering whether you are descended from the Pharaohs, 1 about how long the Egyptians were around, and another asking whether the Egyptians were psychic.  That's not all, though, so head over to the forums and check out the other great stuff there:)!
