Time: 30 years
This was one of my best efforts to date. Look at the population graph. I managed a very smooth growth, with no disasters.
There are a lot of features in the city. I tried to get a reasonable design, without needing 10 libraries in a row, but did get a little stuck on entertainment layout.
My work area, by the docks, is very efficient, making tons of money for many years. When the city grew, the exports went down, but the taxes went up faster, so I did not significantly expand the industry sector.
The towers are a nice feature, to defend the reed gatherers.
There is probably only one "classic" block in the city, with the palaces. All the rest were made to fit the space.
I was determined to keep below 10,000 (and just made it) because of the entertainment perfection issue.
There is a cute oddity, of a mansion behind a statue, which I kept for fun.
There were several other mansions once, but they got replaced by smaller building and a library, to get workers, hence an odd arrangement of small statues in the middle of one housing areas, forcing some 1x1 houses.
I was starting to run out of space on this, getting culture up, but overall I liked the mission and the result.
