Perfection by Stringbags
Queen Henutsen enters the throne room, head bowed to hide the tear stains that run down either cheek like dried up tributaries of the Nile, her heart heavy. The new pharaoh, Khafre, sits at the foot of the great throne, head in hands a picture of inconsolable grief, flanked either side by two dark servants with faces set in stern resolve.
"You must not grieve so my son, Khufu will take the road to the field of reeds as soon as his great pyramid is finished and the grave goods are gathered, we have merchants traveling far and wide to aquire enough riches to set your father up in the afterlife in the luxury that he deserves."
Queen Henutsen sits down beside the young king looking into his eyes with a look of compasion, Khafre returns her gaze and says,
" the great pyramid must be perfect, so perfect that its splendour will never be surpassed and it will be guarded by a great sphinx. But mother," a note of concern enters his voice, " the supply of stone from On is depleted and our stone masons have nothing to work with, there are rumours that there are supplies across the river to the west, but there are ferocious beasts that roam the forests there and eat everything and everyone that dares to go there."
" Fear not my son, do not underestimate the resolve of our people. See, whilst they cannot work on your fathers pyramid, they have not wasted their time, they have made a start to your own pyramid, the foundations are nearly complete as we speak. Yes everything will be perfect, it will take time, but we will do it and the nations will marvel at the splendour of the great pyramids and the prosperity and culture of Egypt will be surpassed by no other nation."

Yes when I say perfect I mean perfect, but don't be put off by the monument rating of 100, you will be required to build two grand pyramid complex's and a sphinx. The first is almost complete and the foundations to the second are also nearly complete, this will lighten the task for you and you can achieve the fabled 4 C's for the first time.
Your merchants are out scouring the nations for grave artifacts fit for the greatest pyramid ever built so have no time for frivelous trading, only luxury goods and copper are available for imports, there are no exports!
There is no military activity in this scenario, but there will be requests for weapons, chariots and troops with dire consequences if you ignore those requests!
This is in .sav format so you will need to place the file into your saved games folder.
Oh, and don't ask me how I got the pyramids to build themselves, if I tell you I would have to send the boys round and cut out your tongue :-)
