Baki with as many Fancy Residences (114) and Palatial Estates (28) as I could keep stable, with all housing on the mainland.
I thought that sea imports would be the limiting factor but in the end it was game meat production that was the problem. Even with the full Osiris Temple Complex cutting food consumption and increasing herd growth, there's only just enough game meat to feed everyone. 8 hunters near the Eastern herds do all the hunting. It's possible a different setup could get more but adding hunters near the southern herd reduced production when I tried it. Maybe using the west bank would allow more but I wanted all the housing on the mainland.
2 very long walks supply water and limit mortuary linen consumption, in the end that wasn't necessary because there was plenty of linen and the dock was more efficient than planned. The right-hand block has "just-in-time" water and senet player coverage, houses actually lose senet coverage but not for long enough to devolve.
Money wasn't an issue once the gold, copper and pottery income was up and running so no bailout, debt or personal funds were used. All roads are connected, the festival square is a 4-way intersection, and all the monuments are inside the city.
Only blessings were from Osiris, a few minor and one major blessing. No trade blessings were received so the time was limited by limestone imports (25/yr from the second year).
Growth was reasonably steady, started feeding everyone as soon as the dock was set up so city health only fell to "below average". I jumped each section of housing from ordinary cottage to common residence by supplying pottery, beer & education at the same time, so 1x1 houses didn't use up too much pottery and beer. The only speed wobble came at 14,000 pop after too many Palatial Estates evolved and other houses on the right-hand block lost food supply. In hindsight with lots more limestone to go I should have slowed down growth and built up bigger food reserves.
In terms of aesthetics I thought that having some garden and entertainer-filled parks would look good but in the end I think they're just a bit messy. Actually the whole city looks like it was just dropped there.
Fire protection is a bit random. I ran the city for another 28 years with no fires but plenty of yellow bars, so results may vary.
There are 3 save files -
1. Pyramids about to complete, despatch burial goods to finish (332 months)
2. A couple of years later with all the housing evolved. The city is stable for a few years until the worker shortage
3. All the Palatial Estates removed and replaced with Fancy Residences, with all unnecessary industry turned off and construction industry deleted. This version ran for 18 years with 18,000 pop until unemployment became an issue. At this point buildings would need to be deleted.
