Pharaoh's influence is strong and his settlement on the headland of Cyprus is booming. His influence has allowed him to conquer the Mitani fort at Mycenae. To make sure the Mitani do not invade us again, he wants a large settlement, supported by a strong army and navy to keep the Mitani at bay.

But it's not going to be that easy. Even with the Mitani scattered to the four winds, the small amount on various islands surrounding Mycenae will still attack the city, in an effort to reclaim their fort to attack Egypt once more.

Pharaoh will demand many items from you, including troops to defend Egyptian cities, which are being attacked by our Southern enemies, namely the Kushites. Our Cyprus port city may also come under attack and you should be prepared to defend it to keep the supply of copper going strong.

For your generous efforts, Pharaoh has allowed you to be entombed at Mycenae in a small brick-core pyramid. However, you will need to import the Bricks and Limestone with your own funds to build it. Pharaoh also wants a large obelisk to serve as a beacon to the Mitani and to the people of Greece that this area will always belong to Egypt.

You have been awarded a large sum of cash to get started in Mycenae. Do not let the Pharaoh down.

EDIT: The small amount of farmland provided is only to improve Pomegranate consumption here. You cannot irrigate this farmland and it will provide a pretty poor yield, but is only to compensate for the Pomegranate imports.

* Lowered population requirement. 5000 people is too many unless you have manor housing and a lot of unemployment.

- Lowered demand levels for various goods on certain cities to increase the difficulty of the mission to make money.

This is the second in Sajuuk's "Teti" series of maps and was as enjoyable as "The Lost City." Map and scenario were well designed and mission was nicely paced, slightly better than the previous (which often involved a lot of waiting) IMO. Military and economic aspects of the scenario were also well balanced.

Another excellent map. An entertaining mixture of military activity and city building. The map is quite demanding with regard to the required prosperity level since there is no linen available. (Especially if you accidentally build over parts of the farmland and have to stock up on imported pomegranates like me)

Hey fant! I should point out linen is indeed available from the city of Abu (either by importing linen directly or from flax imports to make linen) :)
fant Hey Sajuuk.

Well, that's interesting. Is it possible that by failing to complete a delivery in time this trade route gets closed permanently? Abu is not available for trade on my kingdom map. I guess it could be kind of my own fault, I remember not making one request in time (maybe that was Abu). I did manage to scrape the 70 prosperity rating anyway, although it was very close. (the pomegrenate thing...)

At the beginning of the mission there is a request of papyrus (might be Wood or Gems as well, can't remember) to Abu. Fulfilling this request on time gives a gift of granite: you must accept the gift to open the trade. Memory may fail me here, but if you send the goods late, the trade route opens anyway. So, if you complied with the request but ignored the gift, the trade route will never open.
fant Right, I remember now. Well that was a dumb move by me then. I guess I was just to busy to build a damn warehouse or make some space for the granite. Funny though that it would have been better for me to not send the goods in the first place.
lee200679 Hi, how did you guys get the prosperity rating of 70 as lack of food kept bringing my rating down and housing kept de evolving, i had 19 pomegranante farms and 27 fishing wharfs, only got my prosperity rating to just over 60 but no higher?! Tried to import food by either the overseer or importing a certain amount but no food ever appeared from importing!! :(

@lee200679: Hi there! Did you fulfil the early request to Abu? If you fulfilled this on time, did you accept their gift? If Abu is not trading in your city, it is not possible to import Linen, which retards your prosperity rating due to "low" housing conditions. This also prevents manor housing, because you won't be able to pass Spacious Residence.
