It is 1045 BC and the political situation in the kingdom is quite unstable. You, most trusted servant of Pharaoh, are sent to establish a trading post by the great western lake. You did not hear that from me, but Pharaoh is getting quite old and so he has lost some of his political skills. Fortunately, the land by the lake is fertile and quite rich in resources. You will need to mobilize all of your planning and trading abilities as times are likely to change and what you thought was a profitable bussiness may suddenly become quite a burden. Don't be too hasty in your decisions, though, for Pharaoh may have some strange requests for you.
If we are to attract trade in this land, you must build a fabulous city, with high quality housing and many entertainment opportunites for the passing caravans. Unfortunately, such a great city is bound to attract the Libyans to your west, be ready to defend yourself from them. Our scouts report that they are attacking in small groups, however, the direction from which they will attack you will be almost impossible to predict!
If you succeed in establishing the trading post, you can build yourself a pyramid. Also, build two large obelisks to add splendor to your city.

Playability: 3
Culture of 75 required but only 70 can be achieved without a zoo. I played as if 70 culture was winning. Also, you are unable to import a different type of luxury good, making palatial estates impossible to attain
Balance: 4
Initial funds are quite high, allowing you to set up trade, housing, and military. Initially, you are able to export wood but you learn quickly that trade routes are not sustainable. Often, a trade route will close and another opens with a completely new export item, making balancing funding difficult early on. Wars do not come for quite some time and are smaller, no issues there besides the spawn points varying. The pyramid also takes forever because you do not gain access to imports of limestone for a long time. Monuments took a longer amount of time due to trade routes opening, but were not found difficult to attain. Overall, a well balanced mission, but either wars or funding must be more difficult to earn a 5.
Creativity: 5
Varied and continuous events throughout the mission. I played for about 50 years before realizing the luxury good issue, and even until then events were still occurring. Also, having your primary export change as trade route open/close added a unique twist.
Map Design: 5
Great map overall. Aesthetically pleasing and resources are often spread out over the map with docks only situated at the right side of the map. This is one of the few scenario maps that was large but I was forced to use a lot of the map space.
Story/Instructions: 4
Adequate story and excellent instructions provided. However, the tone of the story fell flat when the dialogue slowly drifted away from that classic pharaoh theme.
Additional Comments:
I played this map on normal difficulty with no issue. Too bad this mission is not winnable[Edited on 08/01/19 @ 10:28 PM]
