I was a bit worried about the military activity on this city. I usually play the peaceful missions, but after finishing Hetepsenusret I'm going back to play the military side of the game.
This was my third mission with some notable military activity, after Bahariya Oasis (already available in this section) and Dunqul Oasis (not submitted, as I'm not very satisfied with it). To my surprise, everthing went quite smoothly (just a restart caused by wrong economy moves).

Main city features:

-All roads are connected
-No feeder huts, everyone is fed and taxed
-Rescue gift taken and some debts in the first years
-No personal funds was used on the city
-A minimal salary was taken to dispatch gifts when needed: I deliberately prolonged the completition time (232 months), so some kind of KR manipulation was needed
-No trade with hostile cities
-Gifts from the enemy wasn't accepted
-I didn't pay any extortion
-City stable for several years after victory (2 years tested)

I have chosen not to build anything on the eastern bank, to have a more compact city, easier to defend and to avoid hunting problems (hunters going to the herd on the opposite bank).
The biggest disadvantage of this choice was, obviously, the lack of gold mines.
The first invaders was defeated with a main force of archers and a few infantrymen, because I was buying 2 or 300 units of copper every 3-4 months.
Then, with pottery and beer industries fully developed, I gradually built all forts (3 archers and 3 infantry) and 5 warship wharves.
I didn't build the sixth wharf, because the only available spots on the western bank are near the edges of the map, too far from the city. All 5 warship wharves, the dock and the shipwright are on the island.

The police stations was added late in the mission, mainly to soak some unemployment. All land battles was fought near the coast to get some support from the warships. So the extra defense from the policemen was not necessary.

In year 2001 an egyptian army attacked on the eastern bank, but there was nothing there. So they just admired the scenery for some months and left the map out of boredom.

The last invasion was in June 2001. Dunqul Oasis requested ground troops in January 1999 (4 months to fulfill, 1 infantry and 2 archer was enough). No more military activity later.

I evolved the original settlement to ordinary cottages, added 2 hunting lodges and a few other buildings. Then it was basically ignored for the rest of the mission. The huts near the wall was deleted.

Most of the population resides in a big block of spacious residences and a second block of common residences.

There are a few ordinary cottages on the island to support the water buildings.

I have tested the city for 2 extra years and there was a land invasion in june 1996 by the Libyans.
